#215 – catProducts do not add to cart

 Hello,
it seems when i add catProducts to the cart it doesn't update. All products without catProducts add successfully however i can not get the catProducts to add to cart.

I have tried using a button for every product and one button for all, neither work. I am hoping it is something simple I am missing
I am use yagendoo ajax cart, everything else seems to be working fine, just the child products (catProducts)

any chance you could advise. Thanks in advance for any help

OK, addtocart button is not working, because of yagendoo_ajax_cart module. It removes all catprodcut events from catproducts addtocart buttons and adds its own one. But that ones aren't ok for Catproduct.

So, I don't see simple solution here. Even if I add code back, it won't work as wanted ->same as default product -> to show red cart div on right side of page.

Instead it would take you directly to cart page.

So if you want to have everything working, catproduct javascript needs to be rewriten to have same working as yagendoo ajax cart module and yagendoo code needs to be fixed to not destroy catproducts events.

ok, it worked on the J25 site (trojan.yourdotcom.com.au), perhaps they have made major changes to the js since then. Both yagnedoo and catProduct were updated to latest versions for J3

I am not sure what to do.
this is an upgrade for a client which has taken its toll, a big site. How much would it cost to get someone to fix it for me, or this is not an option?

After some thought, it would be easier to use another cart and remove yagendo. Do you recommend an ajax cart that would work with catProduct. The standard VM cart goes straight to the cart page which isn't the best solution as the shopper may want to continue shopping.

If there is a cart you could recommend that works best with your product?, most i have looked at are paid versions and i don't want to risk the same problem

Uf... There is just too many cart modules... But I mostly use default cart module. Because there is less issues that way.

You said with default cart module, page goes to cart page - There is a setting in VM configuration -> Checkout -> Display modal popup upon 'Add to cart'

Set this to YES and you'll see modal popup instead redirect to cart. Try it and see if it fits to you.

yes, simple solution, i had overlooked that setting in VM, thank you i might just go this way, less problems
